When should I get a crown (fixed prosthesis)?
A tooth should be rehabilitated with a crown whenever it has lost a substantial part of its structure and the remaining structure is weakened.
What happens if the tooth isn't rehabilitated?
If treatment is not done in time, the tooth may fracture. An unfavorable fracture may require extraction.

How long do fixed prostheses last?
Crowns last an average of 15 to 20 years, provided you maintain satisfactory oral hygiene and follow clinical recommendations.
Can crowns replace missing teeth?
A crown can be placed on a weakened root or on an implant. For missing teeth, a fixed bridge with three or more connected crowns is possible, though an implant is ideal.
Why should implants be prioritized?
Implants allow individual crown placement, facilitating oral hygiene and increasing chewing support.
Is the ceramic crown placed on the first visit?
If the tooth needs root canal treatment, approximately four appointments are needed. A provisional crown will be made to ensure aesthetics and resistance.
Can I choose a removable prosthesis?
Removable prostheses must be removed nightly and have some mobility. Fixed prostheses offer more comfort, resistance and aesthetics. Fixed rehabilitation is recommended whenever possible.
